CW-Transceive (CW-TRX) is a software program for encoding and decoding of CW signals. Characters received via a soundcard of a PC (z. B. Tigertronics SignaLink USB or similar) are displayed as clear text and characters entered via the keyboard can be sent out as CW signals using the control lines of a RS-232 serial interface keying a transmitter. The following functionality is supported:

Spectral display of received audio (about 1500 Hz wide) as bar graphics
Selectable audio sensitivity
Audio filtering
Selectable audio source (PC soundcard)
Selectable BFO frequency
Speed sensing of received CW signals
Selectable speeds for receiption and transmission
Transmitter keying via control signals of an RS-232 serial interface
Log file
Transmission of the content of text files
Beacon mode

The decoder is somewhat tolerant while reveiving the dots and dashes of a CW signal. However, under conditions where noise, fading or bad CW operating dominate it does not attain the performace of the human ear and brain.
